Overview
New this year, TCT for Nurses and Technologists has been expanded to one and a half days to better provide a forum for discussion of the latest advances in interventional, pharmacologic, structural heart, and endovascular strategies for the management of the cardiovascular patient. Content is presented utilizing didactic lectures, case presentations, panel discussions, hands-on cadaver heart workshops, and breakout sessions.

Tuesday, September 21, 2010 (Part 1)

Case presentations and open panel discussions with world-renowned physicians on the following:
- Case study highlighting the evolving controversies in clinical pharmacology
- Evolution of mitral valve disease and catheter-based treatments
- Endothelial dysfunction and the clinical management of a common risk factor: Smoking
- Is carotid artery stenting finally a cath lab procedure post CREST?
A half-day course dedicated to preparation for the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists (RCIS) Registry Examination:
- Fundamental knowledge of the heart structures, hemodynamics, and disease states
- In-depth review of the aortic valve, aortic stenosis, and associated hemodynamics
- In-depth review of the mitral valve, mitral regurgitation, and associated hemodynamics
- New: Hands-on cadaver hearts of mitral and aortic valvular disease

- Complex coronary interventions
