Late Breaking Trials

Trial submission is now closed

Late breaking trials are typically first-time worldwide presentations of the primary endpoint or important secondary endpoint results of prospective, randomized clinical trials, presentations of large-scale, impactful single-center or multicenter registries, or first-in-man experiences with novel devices or drugs.

Studies accepted as late breaking trials will be presented in the Main Arena at TCT 2010. In addition to being presented in the Main Arena, late breaking trials are also presented during press conferences scheduled on the same days as the presentations.

One application must be submitted for each late breaking trial. Presentations of accepted late breaking trials prior to TCT 2010 are strictly embargoed. Submissions may not be withdrawn for negative results and such actions will negatively impact future applications from both the applicant and the trial sponsor.

Submission Criteria and Specifications

  • Submission indicates that the clinical trial or study is likely to be completed by TCT 2010
  • Accepted submissions will be presented at TCT, whether the results are positive or negative. (Accepted late breaking trials may not be withdrawn for negative results)
  • Presentations of accepted late breaking trials prior to TCT are strictly embargoed
  • Physicians whose clinical trial or study is accepted for presentation become TCT faculty and their registration fees are waived
